How It All Began

Sitting in a bar in Hell's Kitchen over (practically) a bottle of Whisky, at a time closer to dawn than to dusk, Lee Cavellier and Cedric Jones were discussing their mutual desire to do a creative project in which they could showcase their talents and those of their friends. Thus, GUY PRIDE!, a tongue-in-cheek, self mocking musical revue was created.  

Within months, they had found an amazingly talented set of guys, booked a space, and brought the world (or at least a small, happy portion of it) an hour of laughter and relaxation.  They closed seven performances later-- but that was all they had booked, so things were going swimmingly! 

GUY PRIDE PRODUCTIONS was born, and the duo set out to produce high quality entertainment that takes a laugh at life, but doesn't take a bite out of the pocket. 

A year and a half later  the duo compiled yet another amazingly talented group of performers, and set up a harmony filled evening of booze, beauties and, of course, a big black man called Nab-A-Date: The World's 1st, Best (and only) Musical Dating Show, complete with a Valentine's Extravaganza! 

Currently, they are poised to present their first non-musical outing: Bible Stories (Verses & Trouble in Paradise), two one-act plays featured in the first ever Short Subjects Division of The Midtown International Theatre Festival!
